We’ll be working on a review for Cthulhu Saves Christmas, so I got in touch with Bill over at Zeboyd Games to talk a bit about the game’s journey to consoles. Come check it out!
PS4Blog: Hi, Bill! Good to have you back with us. How are you doing today?
Going okay, but super busy! Launching our latest game, Cthulhu Saves Christmas, on the Nintendo Switch eShop is always fun but busy. We are also going to release it on the PSN! But the coolest thing is that Robert and I have been working with Limited Run Games to produce physical copies for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. So I’ve been super busy working on the game cart and disc labels, the game manuals, and cover art for each, along with answering stuff about the game’s Switch release and trying to get the word out there.
There is a conspiracy in motion to enslave the galaxy. As Alyssa L’Salle, can you stop the organization you used to work for and save everyone from their dark intentions? Learn more about this PS Vita release in our Cosmic Star Heroine review!
We’re working on a review cor Cosmic Star Heroine on PlayStation Vita, so I got in touch with Bill over at Zeboyd Games to talk about the long-awaited and finally released version of this modern JRPG homage classic.
PS4Blog: Hi Bill! Good to have you back with us at PS4Blog.net. How are you doing today?
Hey! I’m doing OK. Launching a new version of a game can be rather hectic, so I’ve been a bit mentally consumed by that and also some of the stuff we’re going to do with the game next, such as the other ports/versions and the Limited Run physical edition, which I’m extremely excited about.
Cosmic Star Heroine is now out on PlayStation 4. Since we’re working on a review for the game, we got in touch with Zeboyd Games to talk about the game’s development for the PS4.
PS4Blog: Hi! Good afternoon. Thanks for joining us at PS4blog.net. Could you please get us going by introducing yourself to our readers and telling them a bit about yourself and your work?
I’m Bill Stiernberg, one half of the team at Zeboyd Games. We develop Japanese-style RPGs with our own unique modern twist on top of a classic/retro presentation. Our best-known games are Cthulhu Saves the World, as well as the third and fourth Penny Arcade RPGs. Our biggest project yet just release: Cosmic Star Heroine, a sci-fi espionage RPG inspired by games like Phantasy Star and Chrono Trigger.
Zeboyd Games has partnered with Limited Run Games to produce, well, a limited run physical release for their “funded with Kickstarter” RPG Cosmic Star Heroine. This physical release will be available for both the PS4 and the PS Vita versions for the game, and each one will cost $25. Click after the break for more information.
