iRacing Arcade from iRacing Studios and Original Fire Games brings us an arcade-style third-person racer on PlayStation 5. It offers a pick-up-and-play racing experience in which you can take on a Career Mode in which you can make some progress here and there at your own pace as needed. You will be going behind the wheel of officially licensed cars as you drive over officially licensed tracks, as you give it your own to help your team grow with your performance while racing, as well as your decisions when you’re not on the track.
While the single-player side of things is probably going to be the main draw for many of you, there’s also local 4-player co-op for you to dive into. Oh, and you can also jump into Free Play Mode! On top of these, you also have the option of going online and racing against up to 11 competitors from around the world. Do know that for this you’ll need a PlayStation Plus subscription, be that of the Essential, Extra, or Premium variety.
I previously had a chance to work on a NASCAR 2025 review on PlayStation 5 last year from iRacing Studios, which was a good return for NASCAR racing to console, so I wanted to check out what a more arcade take on racing would do on Sony’s current-gen console.
What are some of the tracks that you’ll be racing on? iRacing Arcade includes Barber Motorsports Park, Imola, Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Bahrain International Circuit, Circuit Paul Ricard, Circuito de Jerez Ángel Nieto, Lime Rock Park, and Tsukuba Circuit, and more. As for the cars that you’ll be able to drive around these tracks, they include some fictional vehicles that have been clearly inspired by some well-known vehicles, as well as fully licensed ones.
The officially licensed vehicles in this game include the Fiat 500, FIA Formula 4, Caterham, Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, and Mercedes 190 E DTM. As you can tell from the trailer and screens in this iRacing Arcade review, the game goes for pocket-sized versions of the aforementioned tracks and vehicles, hence why it’s called iRacing Arcade.
Once you’re ready to go, you’ll be getting behind the wheel of one of the available vehicles as you steer with the left analog stick or the D-Pad, accelerating with the R2 button and hitting the breaks every now and then with the L2 button, so that you can avoid crashing onto your opponents or some parts of the track, while you try to take each curve as precisely as possible to shave down some valuable seconds from your overall time. Pressing in on the right analog stick will allow you to quickly look behind you.
The money that you earn from your racing efforts can be put to good use by either unlocking new cars, tracks, and customization options for your racers, as well as crafting buildings to aid with your team’s plans. By visiting our Campus – which acts as your headquarters – you’ll be able to build a variety of facilities that will unlock boosts for when you take on the next track. You can also upgrade these buildings to, well, boost the boosts. There are also some buildings that work more to add some visual flair to the Campus, as well as for you to showcase your wins.
As for the trophies, this one does not, unfortunately, have a Platinum trophy for you to add to your collection, which does feel weird for a game releasing in 2026, what with so many indie titles at a lower price going for a Platinum – or two when they’re a Cross-Buy release. The list that is available is split into 8 Bronze trophies, 12 Silver trophies, and 5 Gold trophies. What will you need to do if you want to 100% this game?
Some of the objectives that you’ll have to complete include finishing a race in Career Mode, finishing a race in a podium position, building 5 facilities, finishing a race in Free Race Mode, finishing the FIA F4 Challenge, finishing the Formula Junior Cup, finishing the IMSA Pilot Challenge, finishing then Cosworth Cup Sprint, hiring one AI driver for a season, earning 10 pole positions, winning 10 races in any game mode, making 20,000 in racing earnings, and starting last and finishing first, to name some examples.

You’ll need to keep an eye on the different gauges at the bottom left of the screen, since they will let you know how much damage your car has received, how much fuel it has left, as well as how much you’ve used your current set of tires. This is important, since if you’re having an issue with any of them, you’ll need to visit the pits before you get into trouble! iRacing Arcade is out on PlayStation 5 with a $24.99 price tag.
