Hegzis from eastasiasoft and Clazz Apps Software is a casual 2D hex-based puzzler on PlayStation 5. your task is simple: you’ll be working on clearing lines in multiple directions at all times in order to clear some space and make room for new pieces to be placed. These colorful pieces will have different shapes for you to consider so that you can find the right spot for them to fall into your plans as needed. You’ll be able to use power-ups to clear some of the unwanted hexes as well.
Once you get started, you’ll be using the left analog stick or the D-Pad to move each piece into the spot you need to fill. If a piece doesn’t fit just right, you might need to rotate it by pressing the Triangle button as needed. You’ll have a piece on the left side of the screen and a piece on the right side of the screen for you to choose from by using the right analog stick so that you can grab the right one to get the job done at that particular time. Your goal will be to reach the points total, clear the required lines, or place enough Hegzes for each particular level, which you can check thanks to the progress bar on the upper-left corner of the screen.
Power-ups are shown in the upper-right corner of the screen. You can use them by pressing the R1 button and then choosing the one you need by using the right analog stick. The power-ups that can aid you during your time with Hegzis include the Shovel, which can remove the last Hegze you placed, or the Punching Glove, which can clear the hexagons over its action area so that you can place more pieces.
Trophy-wise, this game has a full trophy list for you to work on as you aim to add a new Platinum trophy to your collection. And since this one is a Cross-Buy title, you can download the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game to your PS5 console at no extra cost, and each version will have its own trophy list. The list will be split into 13 Silver trophies and 7 Gold trophies. What will you need to do for that shiny Platinum? It’s a straightforward list since all trophies will pop if you complete all levels at Serene Beach, all levels at Whispering Forest, all levels at Lovely City, levels at Calm Paradise, and all levels in Tropical Breeze.
