Slocap is hard at work on Absolver for a release on Sony’s PlayStation 4, so we got in touch with the team to talk about the game’s development.

PS4B: Welcome to PS4blog.net. How are you doing on this fine afternoon? Could you please help us get this going properly by introducing yourself to our readers and telling them a bit about yourself and your work at the studio?

Hello! My name is Pierre Tarno, and I am creative director on Absolver. 24 people work at the studio currently, and I lead the project with my partner Jordan Layani, who is the Design Director.

Together, we defined the high-level intentions for the game, and now he works mostly on game mechanics design, implementation, and balancing, while I focus on the fantasy, the narrative, the music. My objective is to make the whole experience feel coherent and engaging. We’re a small studio, so we do a lot of other things, such as dev testing, production planning, communication, and boring admin stuff!
