EdEN reviewed Fobia, a puzzle-platformer adventure on the Nintendo Switch from Eugene Lazebny.
We gave it a 6 out of 10, and quoted it a “Linear 2D puzzle/platform indie debut from two-person team“!
Here’s an excerpt of our review:
As a first effort from a two-person indie team, Fobia manages to grab your attention with its black, white, and red art style, presenting a linear 2D puzzle/platform that, other than a couple of bugs I ran into with a specific pair of puzzles, doesn’t do a lot of things wrong. The one thing that might be an issue is that you can complete the game in around 30-40 minutes at most which, at its $9.99 price point, might not make for an easy recommendation. The devs have learned a lot from this experience, and I look forward to seeing what the husband and wife team works on next.
Now’s YOUR time to win a FREE NA, EU or AUS copy of Fobia on the Nintendo Switch.
The giveaway ends on March 25th, 2020 at midnight (PST).
We’re working on a review on Fobia, so I got in touch with indie Eugene Lazebny to talk about the game. Come check it out!
PS4Blog: Hello! Welcome. Can you help us get started by telling our readers about yourself and your work?
Hello! Thank you for the invite. My name is Eugene. I’m a product designer with 13 years of experience. My wife is an illustrator, and one day we just decided to try and make a video game!
We had no experience in game dev, so we needed to explore this new field. I started to learn Unity and C #, and my wife worked hard on the animation side of things. After a while, we made our first game: Fobia.
