Your group can include Peppermint Patty, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Marcie, Schroeder, Pig-Pen, Sally Brown, and even Franklin, who will be ready to join the Great Mystery Club. There are some mini-games thrown in here and there as well, which will reward you based on your performance.

Snoopy and The Great Mystery Club Review - 1

What’s different when comparing the original Nintendo Switch version and this new Nintendo Switch 2 version of Snoopy and The Great Mystery Club? This separate version for Nintendo’s latest console bumps up the overall resolution to 4K when playing in Docked Mode or 1080p when playing in Portable or Tabletop Mode. The framerate has also been boosted, and there’s HDR support. Texture resolutions and lighting effects have been improved, there are dynamic shadows, and, as expected, the loading times are faster.

You’ll begin at Charlie Brown’s house with a smaller mystery to solve, so that you can learn the basics and get used to the controls. Take control of Snoopy with the left analog stick, walking through each area at a steady pace, or running by pressing the Y button. You can interact with objects, points of interest, and other characters by pressing the A button as needed. Found something important? Then it will be noted in your journal, which you can review by pressing the + button. You’ll soon be granted your first outfit for this adventure: Detective Snoopy!

By donning the Detective Snoopy outfit, you’ll be able to press and hold down the ZR button to activate Sight Mode. The Sight Mode will make a circular area appear around you, and you’ll be able to interact with the objects that are highlighted thanks to this area of effect. Your first task for this new ability? To find Charlie Brown’s shoes. Are they under the bed? Can you find them near the couch in the living room? Or perhaps they’re somewhere near the entrance. You can also use the Pathfinding ability by pressing the ZL button, which, as its name suggests, will allow you to find the path that someone has taken.

The Detective Snoopy outfit is not going to be the only one that you’ll be able to use during this mission, but they will all have different actions for you to use to aid you. As you can see from the trailer in this Snoopy and The Great Mystery Club review, you will also get to don costumes such as Gardener Snoopy, Beagle Scout Snoopy, Pirate Snoopy, and Metal Detectorist Snoopy. Press and hold down the L button to open up the costume swap menu so that you can switch between costumes. Be sure to try them all so that you can find the right one for completing each objective that you’re presented with!

As mentioned before, there are mini-games for you to take on. One of them is, for instance, a baseball mini-game in which you will need to use the left analog stick to move the ball into the quadrant that is presented in green, so that you can then press the A button when a circle closes in on an indicator. Do it right, and you’ll be rewarded with lollipops. The number of lollipops that you can earn will depend on how well you perform the activity. You can obtain up to 3 lollipops if you get a perfect score. What will you be doing with the lollipops? You’ll have to play the game to find out!
