Undusted: Letters from the Past from Toge Productions and 5minlab Corp brings us a cozy and casual game in which you’ll work on cleaning up and restoring old items. You’ll be tasked with cleaning objects that have been neglected for too long. Cleaning each object will allow you to learn the backstories behind each of the objects. Your name is Adora. You’re returning home after your mother has passed away, and you must begin cleaning up the many objects around the house that have certainly seen better days. Your journey begins after your aunt sends you a letter asking you to please search for a necklace she lost at your former home, where she spent a lot of time with your mother.

You can play this one by using the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con or by using the console’s touchscreen when playing in Portable or Tabletop Mode, or if you’re playing on a Nintendo Switch Lite console. Once you begin to clean up items, you’ll hold down the ZR button and use the right analog stick to zoom in and out as needed, so that you can get a better look at each item. Use the right analog stick on its own to rotate each object. You can hold down the R button and use the right analog stick to move the key. You can hold down the R button to reset an item’s position.
Use the left analog stick to move the cursor around the screen so that you can hover over the tool that you plan to use, as you press the A button to use that tool to clean up an item. First up? A key you’ll need to open up the door to your childhood home. You can quickly pick up or put down a tool by pressing the direction on the D-Pad that corresponds to that tool. Hints will become available after cleaning items to a certain extent. You can hold down the ZL button to view what areas need to be cleaned. Once you’ve reached 99.9% of cleaning progress, you’ll be able to press the Y button to use the wrap up button. You’ll see the prompt in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

It’s a game that will be great for those of you looking for some solid ASMR sessions on Nintendo’s console. The game’s audio library will certainly do a great job of letting you know how clearning this or that object with a specific tool sounds and feels, as the Joy-Con rumble along while you work on restoring all items. Undusted: Letters from the Past is out on Nintendo Switch with a $9.99 price tag.
