Love Too Easily from H2 Interactive and Monster Guide is a Korean rom-com FMV mystery on PlayStation 5. Learn more about it in our Love Too Easily review!
This is a double review for Love Too Easily. Ceidz and EdEN played the game on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, and this review presents what they both had to say.
In Love Too Easily, the main character wakes up with only a partial memory of her night out with friends. Her hangover has left many memories blank, but she knows someone has kissed her! But who…?
Interact with the story by helping the main character make choices, complete tasks in the form of mini-games, and most importantly, find hints about the night out.

Love too Easily – which is actually short for I Fall In Love too Easily) – is a new full-motion video (FMV) game in which you’ll follow Yeonwoo, a 23-year-old Korean woman. She got a bit drunk last night and has a slight memory of kissing someone, but can’t remember who it was. She also lost her phone, so you’ll be busy helping her remember what happened as you put together the pieces for this romantic comedy mystery!
Gameplay-wise, since this is an FMV release, you’ll basically have to watch the movie unfold, which will answer some questions that will lead to different outcomes and eventually a different lover, depending on your answers. There’s some replay value in here as well, with 12 different endings for you to reach depending on the actions you take along the way and what answers you give during specific moments. You’ll be busy for a while if you’re planning on discovering all story paths and endings.

The Korean acting is definitely something I wasn’t used to, and I’m not 100% sure if it’s because this game is from that country, but I often thought the acting was awkward. It even looked like a high school project at some points. You’ll have to remember what information you’ve learned about each of the guys you suspect kissed you, so you’ll have to pay attention to their names so that you can choose the right one based on your suspicions! Luckily, there’s a diary with the pertinent information, which you should definitely check from time to time. Another aspect I’d like to address is the video quality. I was playing on a PlayStation 5 and would have liked a higher, more Blu-Ray-like quality instead of what, at times, looked like a DVD-like compression for the video.
This game features a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy for you to try to add to your collection. Trophies are awarded for progressing through the game’s story as well as achieving a good score in each of the mini-games you’ll find. There are also trophies tied to each of the 12 endings that the game has to offer. Oh, and if you spot a cat’s tail during the phone mini-game, be sure to click on it over and over g

As Ceidz mentioned, Love Too Easily from H2 Interactive and Monster Guide is a Korean rom-com FMV mystery on PlayStation 5. Monster Guide took the game to Kickstarter back in 2022, seeking a rather modest $5,700 in funding for the game’s development. The project back then was known by the full name of I Fall In Love Too Easily. Once the crowdfunding campaign was over, and thanks to the support of 121 backers, the project ended up with almost $6,400 in funding. Monster Guide then worked on the game for a 2023 release on Steam. Jump to 2024, and now, thanks to publisher H2 Interactive, it’s making the jump to PlayStation as well as Nintendo Switch.
The main character of this romantic comedy is Yeonwoo, which the game describes as “a 4-D character with a lot of imaginations.” And yes, that’s definitely a typo in the English localization of the game. Both Ceidz and I found more typos in the game’s subtitles, which might be fixed by a patch soon. There’s also Seorin, “a quick-tempered broad-minded with lovely personality.” Jaeha is “an introvert not very good at talking about himself.” Sangmin, who is Yeonwoo’s childhood friend who, likes to play pranks on those close to him. Yejun is a bit of a lonely character who is a popular but chill individual.
The game will switch between the regular FMV segments and some quick-time events (QTE), during which you’ll need to act fast if you want to succeed. Failing a QTE will play a different story segment than the one that would have been shown if you completed it. On top of that, there will also be some mini-games that help to bridge the story here and there. What will you need to do during these mini-games? The first one asks that you find Yeonwoo’s phone, which is somewhere in her room. You’ll also have to help Yeonwoo get ready the day after the infamous kiss took place. Later on, there is a mini-game in which you’ll have to cover for Yejun at the café while he rushes to the bathroom, so you’ll be working on completing a few orders.

You can replay all mini-games from the main menu, which allows you to work on some of the in-game achievements. Yes, the Nintendo Switch version does feature an in-game achievement system, with objectives to complete that mimic the ones that Ceidz previously mentioned for the trophy list available on PlayStation 5. The achievements’ names will clue you into what needs to be done, with names such as “Seems like you have played flash games back in the day,” “Restaurant Investigation,” “Follow me Watson,” Let’s not throw trash anywhere,” and “Looks like you’re good in rhythm games.”
This release is fully voice-acted in Korean, with subtitles available in English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Something that was odd is that the main menu features a cursor you have to move around to choose what you want to do, which could have easily been transferred to using the left analog stick or the D-Pad for going from option to option, which is how the Settings menu operates. Another odd thing that happened to me is that, for some reason, the game booted up in Korean, even though my console’s language is English. Hopefully this is something that is patched soon since it’s an odd bug on Nintendo Switch.

A single run for the game will take you a little over an hour and change, and you can then do it all over again to find new story paths that will eventually lead you to one of the game’s 12 available endings. There’s also some behind-the-scenes content for you to enjoy, with messages from the actors as well as video interviews with them and some footage from the set for when the game’s content was being filmed.
EdEN’s time with the game began with his Nintendo Switch copy of the game booting up in Korean, which was an odd bug that can hopefully be patched soon. We also found some typos here and there in the game’s English subtitles, which might also be fixed with a patch. Love Too Easily is out on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch with a $21.99 price tag.
