Purpose 1951 is the latest first-person walking simulator from indie Tonguç Bodur and eastasiasoft to land on PlayStation 5. You’ll be going on a personal journey through 1951 America as you step into the shoes of a retired doctor whose life has fallen apart. As the doctor narrates what has happened during different moments of his time, you’ll get a chance to better understand how these events led him to his current situation.

Purpose 1951 Review - 1

This new game is a very linear walking simulator experience, and this means the controls will be simple and to the point. All you’ll have to worry about is using the left analog stick to walk through each area, and you’ll use the right one to look around you as needed. You won’t be interacting with anything, and there’s no way of making the doctor walk at a faster pace.

Purpose 1951 Review - 2

As for the trophies, the game features a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy. The list includes a single Silver trophy and 11 Gold trophies for you to work on. Some of the trophies will unlock as you progress through the game’s story. The rest will be tied to opening the mysterious boxes that are dotted around each chapter. They’re not that hard to find since there aren’t many paths to take in each area, but if you need some extra help, you can check out this Purpose 1951 Trophy Guide.
