MetroLand from QUByte Interactive and Kiloo is a colorful budget endless runner now on Nintendo Switch. As expected, you’ll be taking on an arcade-style experience in which you’ll be running as you dodge obstacles as fast as possible to see how far you can go. As for the general premise? You’ll be playing through this adventure as a group of rebels in a not-too-distant future in which you’ll be going up against the oppressive forces trying to push everyone down. Your actions will help you obtain the resources needed to expand your band so that you can increase subsequent runs.

Given the game’s endless runner nature and overall premise, the controls for this new release are going to be simple and to the point. You’ll control your character – named Jet – with the left analog stick or the D-Pad as you avoid incoming obstacles and enemies by changing lanes as you collect coins. Jump with the A button or by pressing up on the left analog stick or the D-Pad and slide by pressing down as needed.
Try to get the best score possible because every step counts! As you score more and more points, you’ll get to unlock new accessories for your characters, new characters to play with, and new areas to explore. Collect Js along the way to level up Jet. Press the X button to level up once you have enough Js and coins for it. Level up once to obtain a x2 score multiplier!

You can also unlock outfits for your heroes by collecting Outfit Tokens. Outfits will unlock perks when worn. Wear the Nineties outfit with Jet, and you’ll get 50% more rewards from quests. Talent Points from outfits can be spent to unlock special skills. For example, you could go with having your score multiplier last longer or getting a 25% bonus when using the magnet power-up.
The coins you collect can be spent at the shop to purchase outfit tokens. Once the hideout is unlocked, you’ll be able to upgrade the power-ups you can collect, as well as other elements from the game, to make it easier for subsequent runs to be longer. You’ll soon find vaults that you can hack at your headquarters to collect what they are trying to protect. This can lead you to grab a bunch of tokens and coins in one go! You can also buy vaults with coins, which you’ll then hack to obtain its contents.
