Cash Cow DX from Flynn’s Arcade and pixel-games SARL-S is a new old-school-inspired arcade-style experience on Nintendo Switch. This publisher and indie dev combo previously gave us Donut Dodo on Nintendo Switch, which I enjoyed when I reviewed it a couple of years ago, so I was up for checking out this new release. Cash Cow DX offers five areas for you to take on: Loony Loops, Bounce Blast, Wacky Waves, Minecart Mania, and Zipwire Zany.

You can start to play this one in Arcade on Easy. If you beat the game on Easy, you’ll be able to play on Normal. Beat the game on Normal, and you will unlock the Hard difficulty setting. Beating Cash Cow DX Arcade on the Easy difficulty setting will unlock the Goldrush Marathon. Beating Arcade on the Normal difficulty setting will unlock Endless Marathon. Once you beat Arcade on the Easy difficulty setting, you can choose between playing in normal or turbo. For normal, speed is set at one, with jump at two and control at three. If you go with turbo, the speed will be set at three, jump at one, and control at two.
Given the game’s arcade-style nature, the controls are going to be simple and to the point. You’ll control your character with the left analog stick or the D-Pad as it runs through each area, as you collect all of the money while you build up a combo in order to boost your score. Jump by pressing the A button… and that’s it! This will allow you to focus on the action as you avoid enemies and hazards.

While running through each stage, you can try to grab a pickaxe to become invincible so that you can defeat any enemies on your path. Just be careful because this will be available for a limited time! If you collect a diamond, then all mooney into rainbow mooney. While regular mooney is worth 25 points, rainbow mooney is worth 100 points a piece!
Cash Cow DX is a new old-school-inspired arcade-style experience in which you’ll play as a bovine who must run and jump through each stage as it tries to recover all of the stolen mooney. Yes, that’s mooney. Get it? It’s one that is easy to pick up and a fun one to play between bigger games. Cash Cow DX is out on Nintendo Switch with a budget price of only $5.99.
