The Talos Principle 2: Road to Elysium brings us a challenging expansion for the excellent sequel. I reviewed The Talos Principle 2 last year on PlayStation 5, and it’s now time to dive back into its dystopian, humanless reality. Devolver Digital and Croteam have now given us a three-part coda that follows the events of The Talos Principle 2 as you once again interact with the charming cast of characters in this robot world. You’ll work on solving a series of puzzles that put to good use all you learned from the main game as you continue 1k’s journey in this new world… as well as that of other characters. Because of this, you should work on completing the main story so that this sequel does not end up spoiling some of this universe’s story beats.

The content is split into three separate packs, with each one requiring around 4-6 hours to complete, depending on how you do with the puzzles in each set since they will apply what you get to learn during the main story’s late-game puzzles. The sets are Orpheus Ascending, Isle of the Blessed, and Into the Abyss. For Orpheus Ascending, you will act as 1k and must enter Sarabhai’s mind and work on locating and obtaining the shattered fragments of her personality in order to give her a new chance at life.

Once you dive into Isle of the Blessed, you’ll be joined by Yaqut and Miranda, who work with Cornelius and Athena on solving the many puzzles of a new adventure that changes the pace and offers an interesting setting: a Caribbean Island! The last set of levels is presented in the Into the Abyss chapter. This one is called that because it takes place on some floating islands, so one fall step and you’ll fall to your doom! Until, you know, the game kindly reloads and places outside of the last puzzle you managed to complete. And yes, it’s Into the Abyss, where you’ll get to take on some of the most wicked puzzles in The Talos Principle 2!

As expected, this DLC adds some extra trophies for The Talos Principle 2. The DLC’s trophy list is split into 5 Bronze trophies and 4 Silver trophies for you to work on. I won’t be talking about the objectives to complete since doing so would spoil your experience with this DLC. I will mention that Orpheus Ascending has three trophies, Isle of the Blessed has three trophies, and Into the Abyss has, you guessed it, three trophies. If you need some extra help, you can check out this The Talos Principle 2: Road to Elysium DLC Trophy Guide.
