Cavern of Dreams from Super Rare Games and Bynine Studio brings us an old-school Nintendo 64-style 3D platformer on Nintendo Switch. You’ll be taking on the role of Fynn, a young and tiny dragon who enters the titular location searching for his unhatched siblings who have gone missing. It’s a collect-a-thon that pays homage to the classics from the N64 era.

Once you jump into action, you’ll control Fynn with the left analog stick as you use the right one to love the camera around. Fynn can jump with the B button and can interact by pressing the A button. Fynn can roll by pressing the ZR button. Jumping during a roll will allow him to perform a longer jump.

After recovering the first egg in the game and returning to Sage, you’ll get a new tail. By pressing the Y button, you’ll get to use a tail spin to hit objects. Every time you collect enough eggs to unlock a new ability, Sage will let you know it’s time to return so that you can be rewarded with a new ability. The second one you’ll obtain is a pair of tiny wings allowing you to glide down slowly after a jump. For this, hold down the B button after jumping.

As you explore each area, you’ll be able to find some collectibles so that you can 100% the game. These include the many mushrooms you’ll find. You can also find special cards to add to your collection. You can use the mushrooms to feed your siblings after you help them to hatch. By checking the menu, you’ll be able to see how many eggs, mushrooms, and cards you can find in each location so that you can know how close you are to finding everything.
