Color Pals from eastasiasoft and Double Mizzle is a minimalist 2D colorful puzzle platformer on PlayStation 5. The game offers 50 levels to take on. To complete a stage, you need to bring the square to the portal. If you want to get the best rating possible and 100% the game, then you’ll need to collect the three stars on each level before going through the portal. The tricky part is that the square can only travel over areas of the same color. This means that to complete most levels, you’ll have to grab an item to change the square’s color. Oh, and the square needs to be the same color as the portal to complete the level.

You’ll control your colorful square with the left analog stick or the D-Pad, jumping with the C button. If you make a mistake, you can quickly reset the level by pressing the Triangle button. Some levels will have keys for you to collect in order to open locks. Some squares will have springs that will launch your square high into the air in an instant. There will be moving spikes to avoid as well.

Color Pals has a full trophy list, so along with a single Silver trophy and 11 Gold trophies, you’ll get a Platinum once you’ve completed all objectives. And since the game is a Cross-Buy title, your purchase will give you both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game at no extra cost, and each one will have its own trophy list. As long as you complete the first 32 levels in the game, you’ll have a new Platinum for your collection. If you want some extra help, you can check out this Color Pals Trophy Guide.

Color Pals Review - 3

Color Pals is a minimalist 2D colorful puzzle platformer on PlayStation 5 in which you’ll have to change your square’s color to match the floor, walls, and ceiling so that you can complete each level. The game is too simple for its own good since the color platforming doesn’t’ really change after the first handful of levels. Color Pals is available as a Cross-Buy title, so your $4.99 purchase will give you access to both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game at no extra cost.
