Go! Go! PogoGirl from Ratalaika Games and Ohsat Games is an old-school infused 2D platformer on PlayStation. Under the protection of the dark night, someone snuck into your house and stole your favorite pogo stick! Because of this, you decide it’s time to show them who’s boss, so you grab another pogo stick and chase after them. You’ll play through four different seasons and the five stages that each one has to offer as you try to catch up with the culprit.

You’ll control your character with the left analog stick or the D-Pad as it bounces automatically. The X button will be used for twirling, which can be used to defeat enemies or extend your jump for a bit. By pressing and holding down on the D-Pad or the left analog stick, your character will charge up her energy to perform a super bounce. If you then press down while up in the air, charge up more energy, and release the D-Pad or left analog stick as your character lands on the ground, it will perform a megabounce, which will allow her to bounce higher while also instantly twirling. The Circle button can be used to perform a pounce attack, which can be used to defeat enemies or activate switches.

If you want to 100% Go! Go! PogoGirl, you’ll have to learn what each stage has to offer and replay them a couple of times. You’re graded at the end of a stage based on your performance and are rewarded with a medal for collecting all 100 green crystals in a level, for finding and grabbing the three special red gems, and for completing a level without defeating a single enemy. That last one might seem like an easy one. But while it technically is not that hard to get, you never know when you’ll end up bouncing on an enemy after a jump from a higher platform, thus defeating it as you land on top of it.

The game has a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy, and it’s split into 2 Silver trophies and 11 Gold trophies. Since this is a Cross-Buy title, if you own a PlayStation 5 console, you can work on adding two Platinum trophies to your collection because the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 versions of the game feature separate trophy lists. As for the objectives you have to complete, they include bouncing 55, 199, and 1,000 times, collecting 100 gems in a level, finding all 3 hidden gems in one level, beating a level without defeating any enemies, beating a level in less than 100 bounces, performing 3 megabounces in a row, beating a level without twirling, defeating the first boss, playing a stage with the timer on, playing through a whole season with the timer on, and beating one of your time trial records.
