Witch College Bundle from Gamuzumi and Kavorka Play brings us a pair of short visual novels and a pair of side stories in a single package. Things seemed to be normal at Himawari University until everything changed out of nowhere. Illusions out of nowhere, memories that seem to be fake, magical incantations. This can only mean there’s a witch among those at the university… right? The thing is, who is the witch? Who can you trust? What if the witch is one of your friends? It’s from the same developer as The Legend of Arcadieu Bundle, so you can sort of already know what type of experience you’re going to get yourself into… for better or worse.
If you’re new to visual novels, they involve reading a lot of text as you look at the images on the screen that represent the different locations you’ll visit, as well as the images for the characters you’ll interact with. For this one, there’s also some fan service thrown into the mix. This is why Witch College Bundle gets a Rated M for Mature rating on PlayStation consoles. All you’ll need to do is follow the story and make a choice from the available options in each game so that you can reach one of the different endings on offer.
Trophy-wise, Witch College Bundle has a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy, and since it’s a Cross-Buy title, if you own a PlayStation 5 console, you can get two Platinum trophies for your collection. The list is split into 10 Bronze trophies and 10 Gold trophies. To get all of the trophies to pop, you’ll need to follow all potential story paths so that you can reach all of the endings. If you want to speed up the whole process, you can use this Witch College Bundle Trophy Guide.
Once you complete all potential story paths, made all choices, and seen all of the endings in the two games and two side-stories available for Witch College Bundle, you’ll be able to check out the CG gallery to take another look at all of the special images you unlocked during your time with the game. Between the two visual novels and the two short side-stories, there are 48 CG images in total to experience, so if you want to 100% this collection, you’ll have to see everything on offer.
The Legend of Arcadieu Bundle was an underwhelming experience, with bland art and an uninteresting story, and the same applies to Witch College Bundle. It’s out as a Cross-Buy title for an $8.99 asking price, giving you both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game. Other than getting a quick pair of Platinum trophies if you own a PlayStation 5 console, there’s not much else to this collection.
