[PS4Blog.net Interview] Broken Arms Games On Hundred Days

by EdEN, Owner

We’ll be working on a review for winemaking simulator Hundred Days, so I got in touch with Broken Arms Games to talk a bit about the game and its development. Come check it out!

PS4Blog: Good afternoon! Thank you for joining us today. Can you help us get this one going by telling our readers a bit about yourself and your work?

Sure! I’m Yves Hohler, Co-Founder of Broken Arms Games, a small Italian development company in the middle of the vineyards. Growing up in a wine region gives us some deep knowledge about winemaking, so we decided to develop Hundred Days – Winemaking Simulator.

PS4B: On that note, Hundred Days is out on Nintendo Switch. How would you describe the game to someone who’s never heard about it?

A love letter to the winemaking world! Or, more simply, a management game with a twist, where the player inherits an old rundown winery far from home.

PS4B: How long did it take to develop the game? Were there any particular hurdles or challenges you had to overcome during the development process?

The game took over two and half years to be released. We sometimes had to stop development to go back to taking care of some b2b work and get some more money to keep going. This was the biggest challenge to overcome, finding the money to develop the game!

PS4B: The Napa DLC is also available for Nintendo Switch. What does this DLC add to the overall experience?

With the Napa Valley DLC, we introduce six new grape varieties, new gameplay mechanics such as grape auctions, new aging options, and new challenges! On top of that, we have included a new graphic for the map to keep the game fresh!

PS4B: And now it’s time for us to go. Is there something else you’d like to add before we end this interview?

Yes, I wanna thank all the players that enjoyed Hundred Days and supported us during the last few years. Broken Arms Games has grown so much, and we can’t wait to show you what we are working on right now! Also, if you like the idea of the game and want to join an outstanding group of foodies, we have a super Discord you can join!
