8-Ball Pocket from Super Powerup Games is a budget pool game on PlayStation 5. You can play on your own in Arcade Mode as you try to complete all stages, or go into Versus Mode, where you can play either against the AI or have up to four human players. There’s also the option of visiting the Training Mode where you can practice to improve your skills. If you want to quickly get the hang of things, you should also check out the controls so that you can see what each button does.


8-Ball Pocket Review - 1

Once you have the ball in your hand and place it on the pool table, you can aim your shot with the left analog stick and move the camera around with the right one. The L1 and R1 buttons are used for precision aim to the left and to the right as needed. The D-Pad can be used to add an effect to your shot. The Circle button can be used to make your shot, and you can use the X and Triangle buttons to decrease or increase the strength of your shot. Pressing the Square button will show you the ball numbers.


8-Ball Pocket Review - Versus

8-Ball Pocket has a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy, with 2 Bronze trophies, 4 Silver trophies, and 9 Gold trophies to unlock on your path towards it. The objectives include putting two or more balls, putting two or more balls in order, putting two or more balls with the same shot, putting three or more balls in a row, putting three or more balls in the same shot, as well as clearing all 10 rounds in Arcade Mode. Once you take care of all of this, you’ll have a new Platinum trophy in your collection.

If you’re looking for a budget pool game on PlayStation 5, then 8-Ball Pocket is a good option. It offers an Arcade Mode, a Versus Mode for up to four players, and a Training Mode so that you can improve your skills. 8-Ball Pocket is out on PlayStation 5 with a low $3.99 asking price.
