Are you ready for a new game with your favorite ghost? It’s now time for you to check out Cape’s Escape Game 4th Room on Nintendo Switch! After the previous game locked you up in a convenience store after your date with Todomi – a very weird convenience store – for this fourth entry in the series, the main character invites his girlfriend Todomi on a low-cost trip to the hot springs. As expected, Todomi does not agree to this because with the trip being a low-cost experience, something is probably going to go wrong. She does mention she has to go to her uncle’s funeral, but it does seem a bit suspicious that she mentions this only after the main character inviters her to the trip.

After Todomi’s rejection, he ends up going on the trip because it’s something he can’t cancel since he wouldn’t get a refund anyway. What’s the cost of the trip? Only 1980 yen! This includes not only the trip itself to the hot springs but also hot meals, which is around $17. That’s definitely a great deal! As expected, it was too good to be true. The protagonist won’t be staying at a regular inn. As you’ve probably guessed by now, you’re going to have to find a way to escape from the inn since Cape has come along for the ride!

Just like in previous games in the series, you’ll be exploring each room as you try to move some stuff around to locate the items needed to solve the puzzles that this 4th entry has to offer. You’re going to have to search for clues here and there as well, paying attention to images, figures, and the numbers they represent, since they will come in handy when you’re trying to figure out things. Some of the puzzles are a bit tricky, but once you get into a puzzle-solving groove, you’ll be set.
