Stilstand from Niila Games, Ida Hartmann, and Nakana.io is a budget interactive Rated M for Mature graphic novel on PlayStation 4. It features a black and white presentation with a very distinct art style that sometimes shows a bit of blue to let you know what you need to do next. It deals with some very serious issues, as you get to experience the existential crisis of its main character and the monster that haunts her.

The gameplay is simple since you’ll be moving a cursor around the screen with the left analog stick, pressing the X button to move the story forward as each panel and dialogue box shows up. To continue through the story, you just need to pay attention to anything colored blue so that you can interact with it to carry on with the story. This is explained within the first couple of minutes of the game. You might need to click on the main character’s blue shirt, or you might need to click on the blue marks around her coffee cup to then move the left analog stick up to have her take a sip.

The game has a Platinum trophy, and it’s an easy one to unlock since the list includes 11 Gold trophies. Out of the 11 Gold trophies, 10 will pop as you progress through the story, and only one is sorta missable if you don’t know what you need to do. The good news is that what needs to be done for that particular Gold trophy is easy, and Stilstand includes chapter select, so you can quickly do some trophy clean-up for that one. As a heads-up, when you get a message from Iben, before selecting one of the answers to the message, be sure to scroll up to read all previous messages!
