Pretty Girls Mahjong Solitaire is the newest game from eastasiasoft to take on the classic puzzle. We previously got Delicious! Pretty Girls Mahjong Solitaire from eastasiasoft, a Rated M for Mature puzzle game on PlayStation, and that’s also the rating for Pretty Girls Mahjong Solitaire. You can play the game on its standard difficulty, in which you’ll be racing against the clock to complete each round, or you can activate the easy difficulty, which removes the time limit while also allowing you to press the Triangle button to have the game show you which tiles can be used to complete pairs, or press the Square button to shuffle the pieces around, an option that is very useful for when your realize you’re one move away from getting a game over.
The rules are the same as last time around, which makes this one an easy game to play. You’ll need to select pairs of tiles from the screen to make them disappear. The objective is to remove all tiles from the playing area to complete the level. If you run out of time, or if you don’t have any tiles to form pairs with, then it’s game over. To be able to use a tile, there must be an open slot either to its left or right, there must not be a tile on top of it, and it must obviously match the design of another tile that also meets said criteria.
You will need to finish three rounds for each stage to be able to complete it. As you complete the third round and complete pairs with the tiles, the outfit that the girl on the screen is wearing will start to change, usually into something that is a bit more revealing. By the time you’re taking on the last stage for a girl, the outfit that will be revealed will be diving a bit more into fan service territory.
There’s a Dressing Room section where you can pick each of the girls in the game and change what they’re wearing depending on which outfits you’ve managed to unlock from playing the game. For example, Rin has five outfits in total when you also consider her starting outfit. If you complete all four of her stages, then you’ll add those four new costumes to her Dressing Room segment.
As for the trophies, Pretty Girls Mahjong Solitaire also includes a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy waiting for you, and the requirements are very similar to those of its predecessor. All you’ll need to do is clear the first three stages for Rin, Risa, Kanon, and Erina, and you’ll have a new Platinum in your collection. This means the list is very short, with only one Silver trophy and eleven Gold trophies.
If you enjoyed Delicious! Pretty Girls Mahjong Solitaire, then you’re going to have fun with Pretty Girls Mahjong Solitaire. It’s a cross-buy title, which means that for a budget price of $4.99, you’ll be getting both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 versions, and each one includes its own separate trophy list, which will certainly please trophy hunters! If fan service is not something you like, then you’re not going to have fun with this one.
