[PS4Blog.net Interview] The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild On Gurgamoth
We’re working on a review for Gurgamoth, so I got in touch with The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild to talk a bit about the game. Come check it out!
PS4Blog: Hi! Thank you for joining us this afternoon. Can you help us get this one started by telling our readers a bit about yourself and your work?
My name is Chris Lavina, and I am the producer for The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild. My position as a producer currently is very vast. In short, I ensure the teams we are working with are doing well and that everything that is needed to release a title is on schedule.
PS4B: Gurgamoth is out on Nintendo Switch. How would you describe this one to someone who’s never heard about it?
Gurgamoth is a flying fighting game where the level is your weapon.
PS4B: What about Gurgamoth makes it a good fit for Nintendo’s hybrid console?
Being that it is a local multiplayer title you can play with your friends anywhere you are if you have a Switch.
PS4B: How long has the game been in development? Where there any particular hurdles or challenges you had to overcome to bring us the version that is now out on Nintendo Switch?
Gurgamoth was the first title that Galvanic Games made back in 2016. Galvanic and QAG have an excellent relationship, and we decided that it would do well on the Switch, so we took it upon ourselves to port it. The process had its ups and downs, but we managed to get it out smoothly.
PS4B: With Gurgamoth out of the way and ready to go, what is The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild working on now?
Since QAG has gone into publishing, we currently have four third-party titles we are working on and one of our own. So we have our hands full!
PS4B: And that’s all the time we have for this one. Is there something else you’d like to add?
If you will be at PAX West, stop by our booths! Sail Forth will be in the Indie MiniBooth Sun/Mon, Roundguard will be in the Indie MegaBooth all weekend, and Deleveled will be in the PAX 10 all weekend as well.
