We’re doing a review for Bear With Me: The Lost Robots, so I got in touch with Game Director Andrej Kovačević at Exordium Games to talk a bit about the game. Come check it out!
PS4Blog: Good afternoon! Welcome to PS4Blog.net. Could you please help us get started by telling our readers a bit about yourself and your work?
Exordium Games is an independent game developer from Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. We started making games around 2015 and explored different genres and platforms. Today, we count 20 creative team members and are most known for the Bear With Me series which we’re happy to have expanded with the support from Modus Games.
PS4B: Bear With Me is out on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. How would you describe it to someone who’s never heard about it?
Bear With Me pays homage to gaming’s standout point-and-click adventures, working classic genre staples like environmental puzzles and memorable supporting characters into an accessible episodic format. The story follows a young girl searching for her brother after his sudden disappearance with the help of a stuffed toy bear brought to life through the power of childhood imagination.
Of course, we wanted to make our own impact on the genre as well, so we shaped these components around a story that balances sharp, pop-culture infused humor with a meaningful, emotional underlying narrative and evolution for its protagonists.
PS4B: The complete collection also includes The Lost Robots. What is this episode about?
This all-new episode unites players with Flint, the lost brother fueling the core mystery within the Bear With Me series, and explores the events leading up to his disappearance. It’s a great chance for existing fans to get more context on the story they’ve already enjoyed and also a perfect starting point for newcomers, too.
PS4B: With Bear With Me ready on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, are you considering bringing other games to these consoles?
With Bear With Me: The Lost Robots and its Complete Collection also reaching Xbox One, and PC as well as Android and iOS devices, we’ve primarily been focused on ensuring each of these versions launches smoothly to deliver the best experience possible to players. That said, once things have quieted down a bit following the launch, we’d definitely be interested in sharing more experiences with the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch communities!
