We’re working on a review for Bouncy Bullets, so I got in touch with Petite Games to talk a bit about the game. Come check it out!
PS4Blog: Hi! Thank you for joining us this morning. Could you please help us get started by telling our readers a bit about yourself and your work?
Hello! I’m Vilmos, the one-man team behind Petite Games. I want to make affordable and fun games for consoles. Nowadays I’m working with Ratalaika Games to bring my games to every console possible.
PS4B: Bouncy Bullets is now out on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. How would you describe the game to someone who’s never heard about it?
As the name suggests, it’s a very colorful small FPS game about bouncy bullets! You can jump around on different levels shooting enemies and reaching the goal within the limited time period. If you’re lucky enough, you can even get a 3-star rating on all levels!
PS4B: How long did it take to develop the game? Where there any changes to the game between the initial concept phase and the version we’re now playing?
It was around four months. Yeah, at first I wanted something like an arena battler. I scrapped that idea and turned the game into linear levels. There are two versions of each level, one that is easy and one that is hard. I wanted to make something about shooting but in an abstract world. After finishing the game, I do have a few new ideas, and maybe one day I will make a Bouncy Bullets 2!
PS4B: With Bouncy Bullets out there, what’s your next video game project?
Something old and something new! I’m working on something that’s based on a previous game but under different settings. You will learn more soon!
PS4B: Once again, thank you for doing this interview. Is there something else you’d like to add before we go?
Thank you for having me! I’m really happy there’s somebody who’s asked me for an interview! Thank you, and thanks to the gamers who’ve bought any of my previous games and have made it possible for me to make new ones! You’re awesome!
