[PS4Blog.net Interview] Herrero Games On Reptillian Rebellion
We’re working on a review for Reptilian Rebellion, so I got in touch with Álvaro Herrero to talk about the game’s development. Come check it out!
PS4Blog: Welcome! Thank you for joining us this morning. Can you help us get started by telling our readers a bit about yourself and your work?
Hello! I am Álvaro Herrero, founder and developer of Herrero Games a small studio from Santander, Spain. I like to make casual games with nice playability and personality.
PS4B: You’ve recently released Reptilian Rebellion for Nintendo Switch. How would you describe the game to someone who’s never heard about it?
Reptilian Rebellion is a casual arcade shooter in which you have to kill as many reptilians as you can, and collect bitcoins, to enter the rankings.
It is based on conspiracy theories about reptilian people ruling the world. There are some achievements to unlock new characters in this game with a simple premise – at its heart, this is a leaderboard-driven shooting game.
PS4B: How long did it take you to port the game to the Nintendo Switch? Did you run into any issues during the porting process?
I used Unity to make the game, and the porting process was an easy one. I have some experience with Nintendo Switch from porting other titles, so it was an easy process!
PS4B: On that note, you’ve also released Mercury Race and Job the Leprechaun for Nintendo’s hybrid console, so I was wondering if you’re currently working on any other games for a Nintendo Switch release.
I am now working on a project I left in standby when I decided to finish Mercury Race. It is a real-time tactic and stealth game with Job the Leprechaun´s world and characters. I will probably show it at some videogame events at the end of this year.
PS4B: And that’s all the time we have for today’s interview. Is there something else you’d like to add before we end this one?
