We’re currently working on a review for Bloxiq, so I got in touch with Blot Interactive to talk about the game’s development for its Nintendo Switch release. Come check it out!
PS4Blog: Good afternoon! Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with PS4Blog.net. Can you please help us started by telling our readers a bit about yourself and your work?
Blot Interactive is a small Canadian Indie Development Studio. We love cookies and making video-games.
PS4B: bloxiq has released on the Nintendo Switch. How would describe the game to someone who’s never heard about it?
bloxiq, is a 3D-interspatial Rubik’s cube like game. It is no ordinary puzzle game, which is why IQ is in the name!
PS4B: How long did it take to develop the game? Where there any particular hurdles or challenges you had to overcome when bringing the game to Nintendo’s hybrid console?
bloxiq is a legacy title. The design was worked on bit-by-bit for many years before development commenced. Initial development took approximately 5 months. A key focus for development has always been on creating very smooth controls, which we worked on prior to entering the actual production cycle.
PS4B: Are you considering releasing any extra puzzle packs for the game?
It would be wonderful to create additional puzzle packs. Currently, we have a few other projects in development, but if the bloxiq community wants additional puzzles and if we have money available then of course.
PS4B: With bloxiq out now, are you considering bringing any other games to the Nintendo Switch?
Yes, we have a project for 2019. We’ll be talking a bit more about it at a later date!
PS4B: And now it’s time for us to go. Would you like to add anything else before we go?
Life is short enjoy it.
