[PlayStation 4] SNK Heroines: ~Tag Team Frenzy~ Miss X DLC Review

by ThaRaven403

I recently went back to SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy to try out the newest DLC character, Miss X, so here are my impressions on the latest character to join the fight!

For those who don’t know Miss X was introduced in SNK Gal’s Fighters way back in 2000 on the Neo Geo Pocket Color console. The game was a 2D fighter featuring an all-female cast, except for Miss X who was actually Iori Yagami from the King of Fighters series, disguised as a woman. His/her entry in SNK Heroines has pretty much the same setup as the other men-turned-women in the game, except that he’s now a woman for real.

Compared to the last two DLC characters, I found Miss X a bit hard to play. Her range was pretty close even though she’s taller than the majority of the characters, so you really have to get up close and personal to hit your opponent. On top of that, she’s far from being quick and agile as Thief Arthur, so if your opponent moves a round a lot, it’ll be a hard time catching up to hit him/her. Same thing is to be said for her Dream Finisher, which is basically a sword swing that works at close range. The other Dream Finisher though is really impressive because she can hit from pretty much anywhere on the screen, so it’s a sure win if your adversary is stunned!

Final Thoughts
In the end, is she worth getting at $4? My consideration for the lack of additional trophies is still there with this DLC, so do keep that in mind. For my tastes, she’s the least enjoyable of the three current DLC fighters, so if you only have money for one, I’d go for one of the other two.

Price: $4.99 (each character)
