With the new No Man’s Sky NEXT update, I dived back into this game to see what the differences are. A few people asked me about the scale of the game, you know, with its 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 planets, so I recorded this 3 minutes long video on the time needed to travel between two planets in the same Star System, the one I initially landed on when I started my game. And I’m not talking about visiting another star in the galaxy, I’m staying around the same star!
As you can see in the video, at the beginning I’m going at cruise speed and the game estimates as much as three real-life hours to reach the planet!. Then at 00:19 I engage a booster which reduces the real-life time needed to reach the planet to around 13 minutes. Then at 00:34, I finally engaged the Pulse Engine which helped me reach the planet in under a minute.
Have you tried No Man’s Sky new update? Liking it so far? Let us know!
