[PS4] Serial Cleaner Review

by EdEN, Owner

Serial Cleaner from iFun4All and Curve Digital is a game with a very interesting and weird premise. Find out what it is by checking out our Serial Cleaner review!

In Serial Cleaner, you are tasked with cleaning up murder evidence after… incidents and events take place. Say the mob kills someone. You get the call, quickly drop in, get rid of the body, clean up the blood, and move out before being spotted by the police. Simple, right? You’ll move around with the let analog stick, pick up and drop bodies with the Square button, use things with the X button, clean up with the R2 button, and activate your Cleaner Sense with the L2 button – Cleaner Sense allows you to get a glimpse of the entire scene, item pick up, police officers, bodies, and blood.

The first story contract in the game, called No Sweat, will act as the tutorial for Serial Cleaner. You’ll run into a job in which there is just the one body to take care of and only two cops keeping watch, which will ease you into this new gig of yours. From the second contract and on, you’ll need to make good use of hiding spots so that you can get into a scene, collect the evidence, get rid of the bodies and clean up the whole place nicely.

By searching around the story contracts, you’ll be able to find film reels that will unlock movie-inspired bonus contracts you can take on for some extra fun. There are plenty of movies to pay homage to, but Serial Cleaner will be focusing on Enter The Dragon, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Taxi Driver, Two Mules for Sister Sarah, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Rocky Horror Picture Show, A Clockwork Orange, Star Wars: A New Hope, Suspiria and Alien. That’s definitely a great list!

The game has a Platinum trophy, with several Silver and Gold trophies to add to your collection. Objectives range from cleaning 100% of the blood in a contract to finding secret items, escaping capture, getting killed, luring enemies to investigate a sound decoy, completing several daytime and nighttime contracts, to stuff such as reading a newspaper, listening to the radio and watching TV – it will make sense once you get to play the game.

Serial Cleaner Review - 4

Serial Cleaner is a very fun and addictive game that will keep you hooked until the end. The gameplay mechanics are simple and to the point, and the premise is so crazy it just works. Cleaning up murder scenes for the mob, down to the last drop of blood? Weird! Serial Cleaner is a great option on PS4 and one you should definitely check out.
