PS4BlogCast Episode 214

by Clint

Welcome back to another episode of the podcast. There wasn’t much news this week so a majority of the episode is me explaining the story of DOOM (2016) to Isli. I forget to mention a spoiler warning, but you’ll know when it’s coming up. That’s if you’re interested in the story of course, which you could be like I was. I thought the lore for that game was cool and the way it was handled reminded me of the first Dead Space.

I think the biggest news this week for Sony fans is that Adam Boyes has stepped down. He wants to get back into making video games, so it’ll be interested to see where he lands and what he ends up working on.

SGDQ has ended and made a nice chunk of money from donations. I didn’t watch the majority of it as I tend to wait until the games I actually want to watch are on YouTube. The only thing that can be a bit annoying is that you can’t replicate some glitches on console versions, or if it’s an earlier patched version… which is fine but I was replaying Wolfenstein The New Order and just wanted the story, so there were moments where it would have been nice to skip some sections.

Did you have a favorite game from SGDQ? Let us know in the comments below!
