Team17 is working along with Playtonic to release Yooka-Laylee on PlayStation 4, and the publisher got in touch with us to share the new E3 trailer for the highly anticipated game! You can find the trailer below, and it’s a great one that gives us a good look at how the game is shaping up.
See? Told you it was a great trailer! But with this new look at what will surely be a classic come some sad news: Yooka-Laylee is no longer going to be releasing in 2016, and has been pushed into Q1 2017 so that Playtonic and Team17 can have a few extra months to polish the game. This is a small delay (that hopefully won’t open the way for a second delay!) but one that will hopefully make the game bigger and better.
Developed by Playtonic and published by Team17, Yooka-Laylee stars the charismatic new buddy duo Yooka and Laylee, who use an arsenal of special moves to explore – and expand – gorgeous 3D worlds filled with collectibles to discover, secrets to unlock and a cast of quirky characters to meet (or defeat).
Did you back the game when it was seeking funding on Kickstarter? How do you feel about the delay? Let us know in the comments below!
