Broken Age is the coming of age tale set in two very different settings between two very different characters. They each are struggling to find out whom they are, and it’s up to you to help them out!
I was so excited to play Broken Age on PS4 when it came out… I love point and click adventures and bought it on PC, but, I just prefer consoles, so I waited to play it. Boy, am I glad it got to PS4!
Broken Age is the story of Vella and Shaw, two seemingly completely separate adventurers. The story is told in two parts as the game was released in two episodes. I remember hearing about this mind-blowing cliffhanger at the end of the first episode when it was released on PC, so I went into the game trying to figure out what it was, and it still caught me by surprise when it happened.
The game is a masterclass point and click adventure with beautiful art and great voice acting, especially with some great Hollywood talent brought in for it. You will be hard pressed to find a game that oozes this much style and substance.
We got Day of the Tentacle Remastered earlier this year, which Ceidz liked a lot and we will hopefully be getting another classic in Full Throttle Remastered early next year. That being said, I hope Tim is working on a new IP as well, as I had a blast with Broken Age and I look forward to seeing what else can pop out of that mind of his.
If you haven’t played Broken Age, you really should. It was free on PS+ at one point so, who knows, if you are a longtime subscriber you might have it in your collection already!
