Deed Silver has let us know that they’ll be releasing Dead Island Definitive Collection on PlayStation 4, and that the game is now available for pre-order! The Dead Island Definitive Collection has a solid release date of May 31, and we have a brand new batch of screens for you to check out!
As you can tell from the images, the textures have been redone and improved and are now presented at a higher resolution and a better quality, making this a better looking game! To add to this, there has been a major improvement to the lighting system, making it more realistic as it tries to showcase the great look of the tropical setting.
And to complement the better textures and the new lighting system, the Dead Island Definitive Collection also includes physically based shading, giving a higher quality look to the game models and objects since they’ll react more realistically to the various lighting conditions of each location.
A better anti-aliasing technique makes the game have a much cleaner look, and this makes the improved game models and the higher geometry for the game’s assets really pop-up more. NPC and character models have seen a great bump in quality.
And if you like big words, you’ll be happy to hear that Dead Island Definitive Collection uses Horizon-based Ambient Occlusion (HBAO) to add an extra layer of depth and realism to the Dead Island world. Motion blur is all the rage these days, and it gives the game a more cinematic feel.
And the move to PlayStation 4 also means that the features of Sony’s home console will be put to good use! You’ll be able to enjoy solid Online 4 Player Co-op, use your PlayStation Vita for Remote-Play, use Share-Play, and stream and record your gaming sessions!
