Indie team Infinite Dreams has announced that they’ll be releasing Sky Force Anniversary later in the year for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3! As you can imagine from the game being available in all three Sony platforms, this means that the game will indeed be a cross-buy release!
Sky Force Annniversary is a remake of Sky force, a game that originally released for mobile way back in 2004 (which for some qualifies it as a “back in the day” release). A lot has changed in its move to PS3, PS4 and Vita, as you can see from the screen below.
See that? This feels like a completely new game, right? Once it is ready for us to enjoy, Sky Force Anniversary will include a robust single player campaign where you’ll be taking on General Mantis to stop his bid at world domination. During your adventure you’ll defeat hundreds of enemies, rescue civilians, and collect funds to upgrade your ship with several power-ups as you try to stay in one piece.
The official reveal trailer below will show you why we’re very much looking forward to playing Sky Force Anniversary this summer!
On top of the huge single player campaign, Infinite Dreams will also include in Sky Force Anniversary a chance for you to play the game in local co-op as you aim at completing some optional objectives here and to keep things fresh. But one mode we can’t way to try is the weekly tournaments that will be running for the game! Every seven days new content will be made available with challenges that take place on unique levels! This will greatly expand the game’s replay value, and it should be interesting to see if Sky Force Anniversary manages to include a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy to challenge our skills
