This is a great month for PS4 users on PS+. We are lucky to finally get to play Super Meat Boy on a PlayStation platform (something I never thought we would see) as well as the excellent Broken Age (which everyone should play).
Free on PS+
Super Meat Boy Regular Price: $?; Free for PS Plus members
Our meaty hero will leap from walls, over seas of buzz saws, through crumbling caves and pools of old needles. Sacrificing his own well being to save his damsel in distress. Super Meat Boy brings the old school difficulty of classic NES titles like Mega Man 2, Ghost and Goblins and Super Mario Bros. 2 (The Japanese one) and stream lines them down to the essential no BS straight forward twitch reflex platforming.
Broken Age Regular Price: $24.99; Free for PS Plus members
Broken Age is a timeless coming-of-age story of barfing trees and talking spoons. Vella Tartine and Shay Volta are two teenagers in strangely similar situations, but radically different worlds. The player can freely switch between their stories, helping them take control of their own lives, and dealing with the unexpected adventures that follow. Check out my review here!
Unmechanical: Extended Regular Price: $9.99; Free for PS Plus members
Unmechanical: Extended is an award-winning platformer/puzzle game loved by countless players around the world, now coming to PlayStation®4 with a brand new “Extended” story episode that contains even more puzzles and mysteries to solve. Do you dare enter? Check out Eden’s Review Here!
As always, for PS+ users who don’t have a PS4 yet, be sure to login at the PSN Webstore to get the games added to your collection so that you can download them once you do get one.
Also don’t forget that with the PS4 3.0 Firmware update that came out, there is a fancy new PS+ Icon to help you find the PS+ games to download for the month as well as any sales for PS+ subscribers!
This is a good month with some great titles. I can’t stress enough that everyone should play Broken Age! Super Meat Boy should be pretty good too.
