I love to read how things work at video game companies, so I was very happy when I found an interesting post over at the XSEED Blog in which the translator for Trails in the Sky Second Chapter talks about all the work being done for the localization.
This insight definitely makes it easier to understand the actual effort required to translate a game from Japanese to English and why it isn’t as easy
