Metal Gear Solid director Hideo Kojima, just announced live from GDC, that Metal Gear Solid V is both Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain combined. There has been no mention of it coming to the PS4 yet, however since the Fox engine is a next gen engine, we can definitely expect it.

as a metal gear fanboy, I can’t wait to play this. I had always believed that this was one game, since mgs 2 was also split into two diff sections.

I haven’t played and MGS before. Trailer looks confusing but the universe seems very dense to get into.

Now I’ll be the first to admit, while I’ve played all the MGS games (some twice) I don’t exactly know or understand every detail of the story/stories. But I’m glad I’m not the only one who was totally confused about what’s going on XD I kinda get the gist of what’s going on, but when it comes to Kojima I never assume anything…
I’m pretty excited about MGS V. Hopefully it’ll be a launch title for PS4.
