For the first time in its history, the Electronic Entertainment Expo will be selling badges to consumers. What that means is that regular people and your next door neighbor can actually attend the 3-day show.
Let me break it down further. E3 is an industry-only event. You have to be working for a video game related company in order to get a badge. This means you’re either a game programmer, dev, manufacture gaming peripherals, or are part of or associated with something video game related (no, working at GameStop does not count). The other option is being a valid member of a reputable media outlet such as our blog.
