The fourth episode of season 2 of Minecraft: Story Mode is here, and that means it’s time for you to check out our Below the Bedrock review to learn more about it!

Minecraft Season 2 Episode 4 – Launch trailer

Below the Bedrock is the fourth episode of Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2. If you want some context on what happened during this season’s first episode, then you can read my review – and then you can read the second episode’s Giant Consequences review, and the third episode!

Minecraft Story Mode Season 2 - Below the Bedrock Review - 1

As we saw in the previous episode, Jesse has become the victim of identity theft, and he was on his way to recover it when he was ambushed by a ton of monsters. Then out of desperation, they found a place to hide, that lead Jesse and the team below the Bedrock, the normally absolute bottom of the Minecraft universe.

In Below the Bedrock, the team discovers a hidden city called Oasis. As he’s there, Jesse must find something that belonged to Fred (one of the original admins), and once they reach Oasis, they’re challenged to a Trivia Quiz that requires finding some clues in the surrounding characters. This sequence was fun to play out, and we even have a branching storyline depending if we win or not.

This is not the only surprise that happens in this episode, but I won’t spoil what happens further! Once again, this episode starts with à great action sequence which was fun to play. There are more actions sequences farther in the episode, but it overall felt slower than the pace of the previous episodes, but was still enjoyable.

There’s only one episode remaining in the season, so be ready for it because once it releases, I’ll have my review ready for you!
