[Review Revisited] Megadimension Neptunia VII
Megadimension Neptunia VII is the first entry in the beloved series available for Sony’s PlayStation 4. The jump in consoles made it possible for the team to add a lot of extra polish to the game as they took on new locations and new characters to spice things up.
Here’s an excerpt from the double review with Ceidz:
As you play Megadimension Neptunia VII, you can take on the many extra challenges the game has available. Each of the characters takes care of them on her own list, and while the progress you make in one challenge might be reflected in the challenge of all characters, several of them will only count when, say, a character is acting as the team’s leader in a dungeon. Each challenge has several levels, and when you complete a level, you continue to work towards the next one. Completing a challenge will bestow a bonus upon a character’s stats, and this means that completing challenges is a great way to power-up your party! For example, if you complete Level 1 of the challenge Marathon Runner (which requires that you move 1,500m within a dungeon as a leader) you’ll be rewarded with a +3 boost to your Agility stat and will immediately start to work towards Level 2 of the challenge (which asks that you move 3,000 m within a dungeon as a leader) to gain a +4 boost to your Agility stat and so on up to Level 8.
