[PS4Blog.net Interview] Canu Arts On Lithium: Inmate 39
We’re playing Lithium: Inmate 39 to be able to bring you a review for the game, so we got in touch with Canu Arts to discuss its development for the PlayStation 4.
PS4Blog: Hi! Welcome to PS4blog.net Could you please introduce yourself to your readers and let them know a bit about yourself and your role at the studio?
Thanks! My name is Marlon Cascante, and I am the director of Lithium: Inmate 39. I founded Canu Arts seven years ago and we have been working on advergames all this years. Lithium: Inmate 39 is our first original IP release.
PS4B: Lithium: Inmate 39 is finally available on PlayStation 4. How would you describe the game?
Lithium: Inmate 39 is our homage to old classic horror games. This is a platformer/3D puzzle game in the horror genre. It tells the story of a psychiatric patient who must find the way back to his origins, discovering his past and getting explanations to understanding what is going on in his mind.
PS4B: How long did the studio work on Lithium: Inmate 39 for its eventual release on PlayStation 4? How much did the game change from its initial concept art and design to what people can now play on Sony’s home console?
We worked on the game for 2 years – we had to make a few stops along the way to attend our advergames customers. The game retained the same concept since from back when we started to work on it, always focusing on our end goal as we aimed to remain within budget.
PS4B: Are any of the trophies in the game missable or can they all be obtained in a single playthough?
We are happy to report that all trophies can be obtained in a singe playthrough!
PS4B: Now that Lithium: Inmate 39 has been released, what is next for the studio? Is the team already working on a new project?
Yes! We will release a PS VR game very soon. Its name is Lithium: The Alumit! It is based on a parallel story of Lithium:Inmate 39, set from a first person perspective. After that we will start a new and more ambitious project we cannot discuss… yet.
PS4B: Thank you for your time. Would you like to add anything else before we go?
Thank you for this interview, I really appreciate it! I have to say that this game has been created with a lot of passion and effort. We really hope you will enjoy it as much as we enjoyed the creative process! It have a very good price ($9.99) that we hope will gain the favor of fans. Stay tuned because we are working on some DLC for the game as well!
