Final Fantasy XII Will Get A Remastered Version On PS4

We have some great news for everyone! Final Fantasy XII will release on the PlayStation 4 in 2017! According to the game producer, Final Fantasy XII – The Zodiac Age will use the International version of Final Fantasy XII as its base, and have a reconstructed battle design and enhanced job system. It’ll also feature a remastered soundtrack and Full HD graphics.

If this isn’t enough to be thrilled about a new version of this fantastic game, Square Enix has stated that the game will be getting revamped character models (as well as revamped cutscenes), auto-saving, shorter loading times, a turbo mode, and, of course, a full trophy list!

By the time this new version of FF XII is released on PlayStation 4, it will have been over 10 years since the day Final Fantasy XII was released on PlayStation 2. And yes, this version has already been confirmed for a release in North America! We’ll be getting a lot of Final Fantasy love between 2016 and 2017 (and beyond!), and we really can’t complain about it!

I still have the PS2 collectors edition I bought day one. I put about 20 hours in and had enough, didn’t like the battle system. I’m interested in revisiting it down the line to see if the international changes made a big difference.

Same thing here. I didn’t complete FFXII the first time, so I’m hoping the improvements will be more interesting this time!
